Fae Diddle Diddle

— Queen of the Faeries

Fae Diddle Diddle, our founding faerie, rests her head in the Santa Cruz redwoods, way up high in the mountains. Her time in the up there is spent helping our Faerie family, playing the banjo, and sewing together her ideas for new costumes.

She is constantly perfecting her magic skills and running the treehouse headquarters for Happily Ever Laughter.

She hasn't always had this exciting life; before Santa Cruz she studied abroad in Paris, entertained as a magician and balloon twister for the past 8 years, tutored children on the autism spectrum in San Francisco, nannied for several families, and was a counselor for 5 years at Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp.

Her younger years were spent on the stage (one of her favorites was playing the Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland), as a soprano singer in her school choir, and an oboist, flutist, and percussionist in an orchestra.

Her inspiration for starting Happily Ever Laughter came when she noticed all the characters provided at parties were the same characters on the lunch boxes, TV, and movie screens. Fae wanted to remind children that they don't all have to be the same princess, the same Snow White or Cinderella, but their own unique view on what a princess or any imaginary character could be. She understands that each child is different, and that is why her characters are different. Her clowns don't have red noses or scary wigs, and her princesses don't look like Sleeping Beauty.

They are the characters from her own imagination.
